Waiting for this month's Ipsy was just torture! I was really excited when I finally got it. This month doesn't have as much make up as previous months, that is though, because a lot of us subbies complained about all the make up. Meaning- Ipsy listened to what we wanted!
First look at my really anticipated baggie!
How cute is that?!
This month's baggie looks simple on the outside, but super cute on the inside!! I love it.
All the goodies in my baggie :)
Josie Maran – 100%Pure Argan Oil: $4.8 for .17fl oz , full size is 1.7 fl oz and goes for $48. I was a bit hesitant to try an oil on my face, but this baby absorbed great. I applied it over my serum and it still worked amazing! I didn't wake up with my face feeling like an oil slick, it was just soft, glowing and feeling great! Could this be my new HG? Have I found the fountain of moisture??(That sounds weird lol!) I really love this thing and can't wait to see the results I will get after more uses! This doesn't have any scent at all, so no headaches for me, yay! A little goes a long way, I used 4 drops and that was enough to cover my whole face. I hope I don't become addicted to this, because that will mean I will have to buy it full size, oh well! I'm so glad I got to try this product this month and I thank Ipsy for this, I've been dying to try it for the longest time. Now I can die in peace!
Nailtini – Nail Lacquer in Bloody Mary: Full size $13. I wasn't super excited to get this...until I got it on my nails, then I loved it! 1 coat looked pretty pigmented enough, but 2 coats look much better. This baby dries super fast, it's been on my nails for 2 days now and I have no chipping. I didn't think I would like this as much as I do now, because I'm not the biggest fan of red nail polish, but I actually really like it!
Swatches:
Big Sexy Hair –Spray & Play Volumizing Hairspray: 1.5oz/50ml $2.48, full size is 10.6 oz
and goes for $17.50. I'm not big on hairspray, but I liked this one. It has a nice scent, that wasn't annoying to me, for once. It did help with volume for sure and held my hair without making it look plastic. I will definitely keep on using it.
Pacifica – Tuscan Blood Orange: 2.5 fl oz/73ml $5.57,
full size is 8 fl oz/236ml and goes for $18. I loved this! The smells made my nose itchy for a bit, but it went away after a while. My skin absorbed this super fast and it just smells amazing! It's super citrusy and fresh. After being absorbed, this doesn't leave any greasy feeling on your skin. This is great to use as a hand cream, which is what I'll use it for.
Soho – Concealer Brush: Full size $5-$8. I already had this brush, so the one I got will stay packaged.
These are the 3 brushes you could get. I had all 3 of them already and I actually really like them. The liner one, even if it's not as thin as one would expect, works to line your eyes, but I also use it to apply eye shadow to my brows, thus defining them. The concealer one is super soft, it applies and blends concealer well enough, but I still prefer using my fingers or my Beauty Blender. The crease brush works to give you a blended out crease and also works great to blend shadows, it's also super soft. I've had these guys for about 4 months now and I've washed them plenty of times and they haven't shed one bit. You can find them at a Walgreens or on the internets! I really like these brushes and they are pretty gewd, considering you can find them at the drugstore.
Sorry about my eye looking all scary in this picture. I lined it with the Soho Eyeliner brush and as I said it works great! Also, I defined my eyebrows with it too!
Value and review:
The value of this month's Ipsy is: $30.85. It's a bit less than last month's but still pretty good!
In spite of the fact that this month's Ipsy isn't all make up, I still really enjoyed it. I didn't think I would get so excited about the nail polish and I ended up liking it a lot. I got to try a product I was dying to try(the argan oil) and some other products I wasn't even thinking about trying out. At the end of the day, that's what this sub is supposed to do, introduce us to new products to try out and fall for! I'm so glad I'm subscribed to this service, it's a great surprise to get in the mail every month. I've been subscribed for 3 months now and I can say that I'm satisfied, for sure! I'm not thinking of unsubscribing anytime soon and I hope they keep it up.
