Julep Trick or Treat Box

So I received this email from Julep promoting a mystery box, called the Trick or Treat Box, and here's what it said:
"Get at least two BOO-tiful colors plus one spooky surprise just in
time for Halloween.* Spooky surprises could include a skull bracelet,
skull scarf, limited edition nail colors, or Halloween nail decals.Grab your goodies before they're gone!$19.99 ($46 value) + Free shipping!"

I struggled with the decision to get the box or not to, since I was already disappointed by my previous mystery box, I ended up giving in and getting it. I said: Why not? I'll get at least 2 nail polish and something else cute!

Their packaging was super cute, as usual!!

Now here's what I got:

2 Glitter pots in purple and blue: They don't sell them on their website so I couldn't really find the value(besides they usually send them with the regular subscription box for no extra charge so I say: free).
1 sheet of Halloween decals: You can pick this up at Etsy and they go for $3.99
Parker( First color from left to right) : It's a golden tangerine crème.
Alma(second): Dijon mustard yellow crème, it looks really bright on their website, but it really is a mustard color.
Zoe: This one is not up on their store yet, and its an orange-copper kinda shade with shimmer.
The regular price for nail polish is the usual: $14, and the Maven price is: $11.20.

So if I add everything up the total value of this box for a Maven subscriber will be: $37.59 and the regular value for a non subscriber will be: $45.99.

Now, in their email, they said the value would be: $46, but even if I wasn't a subscriber, it's only $45.99(which yes it's almost $46, but still!).

Despite the fact that I really liked the colors I received(Parker specially!), I'm not really happy with this box and I don't think I will buy Julep's mystery boxes anymore, they just never have what I would expect, I'm not being greedy here, just wishing they would live up to what they promise. Those nail decals in my opinion are not worth $3.99! the color fades so easily! And yes, I know water is not supposed to get in contact with the top of the decal, but I remember when I was a kid, my mom would get these really cheap nail decals for me to play with and their quality was way better than the ones I got from Julep.

My advice is,  if you are a Julep Maven, stick to their monthly boxes, cuz most of the time the mystery ones, are just not worth it.
And don't get me wrong I love their service and I won't unsubscribe, I just won't get the mystery boxes, or at least I'll really think about it before I do!
