NOTD: March 20th

Who's an irresponsible blogger? I am I am! Well sorta, I was in a plane for most of the day yesterday. I'm back to Costa Rica, which doesn't mean I'll stop posting or getting subs or anything, nothing really changes, just my location and the weather. OMG it's so hot down here, it's terrible!

Anyways, enough about me and onto polish. I made a post about the indie brand KB Shimmer and this is one of their beauties, Jack, which is a really pretty black based jelly with orange glitter. Perfect for Halloween, though I was wearing it in the spring. That's 2 coats of Jack, under one coat of...Seche Vite, but of course!

Wet n Wild Color Icon Comfort Zone Review + Swatches

Out of the three Color Icon 8 pan palettes I have at the moment, this one is definitely my favorite, followed by Blue Had Me At Hello and Petal Plusher is definitely my least favorite. Now, that is not because of the colors, but because of the quality of the eye shadows itself, more on that later on this post! Haha!

I picked up this palette a while ago, so I have used it quite a bunch at this point. I mentioned all of these in a haul post, which you can find if you click here. And if you want to read a few reviews on the Color Icon trios, you can check that out here.

Picture taken with a flash

Left Column:

Brow Bone Color: This is a gorgeous color, pigmented enough and creamy, perfect for the brow bone or inner eye corner, really shimmery and really pretty.

Eyelid: This looks more peachy in the picture, but it's more like a soft shimmery, coppery shade. Really pigmented, really creamy, gorgeous as an all over lid color. Or maybe on the crease with the Brow Bone shade all over the lid and this on the crease, creating a really simple and soft day look.

Crease: Gorgeous shimmery brown shade, super pigmented great on the crease for a soft day look. It could also work as an all over lid color.

Definer: First of all, SUPER PIGMENTED, this color is crazy pigmented, so be careful when applying it, because a little bit will show up a lot, so this is not error-friendly. This shade is hard to read, because it's sooo dark, it's a super super dark brown that almost looks black with some brown glitter. Really gorgeous, amazing for a brown smokey eye or to add a little bit of drama to a neutral eye look.

Right Column:

Brow Bone Color: First off, I wouldn't wear this on the brow bone , because I think it might be a bit too dark for that. Besides that, this is a gorgeous, shimmery, super super pigmented shade, great as an all over lid color or as a crease color for a soft neutral look.

Eyelid:  Gorgeous shimmery moss green, super creamy as the others, it can work as an all over lid color, or a crease color. Super pigmented too, it's just great!

Crease: This one, opposite of the other dark shade in the palette is not as pigmented as that one. It's still pigmented, but not as much as the other one. This shade is a really dark brown with gold shimmer, perfect for the crease, smudged on the lower lash line or added on top of another color on the crease.

Definer: This has to be the prettiest shade on this palette, irridescent brown and green shade, sooo pretty!Super pigmented and creamy, also shimmery as the rest.

This palette is amazing for daily looks, the name fits it perfect, I think the shades are within everyone's comfort zone and they are all work place friendly.

The quality of the shadows is amazing for most of them, creamy, pigmented and blendable. They have a bit of fall out, but nothing that makes it a pain to work with them. I absolutely love this palette, I think it would look good with any eye color.

If you don't like to venture into bright colors and you're a neutral shades kinda gal, this is definitely a palette for you, you can create different work safe looks and wear it daily. The best part is that if you want to turn up the drama for a night out, you can add the darkest shades to your look and be good to go!! This is a perfectly affordable daily palette.

I definitely highly recommend this palette, it's so amazingly pretty and easy to work with, that I'm sure you won't regret it and if you do, you are not out a lot of money.

Disclaimer: I purchased this with my own money, and this is my own personal opinion :)

Urban Decay Showboat(swatches)

I've been eyeing this Showboat kit of nail polish for the longest time and finally got it!! So I will share my swatches to show you the pretiness!!

I absolutely love the packaging! Which shouldn't matter, but this box is so cute!

2 coats of Radium, I'm not a fan of blue, but this one is gorgeous!!

2 coats of Covet, PRECIOUSES(like Gollum)! Lovely green, I can't live without it anymore.

2 coats of Perversion, just black really shinny, pretty black.

2 coats of Fishnet, really pretty purple, it has a bit more red in real life.

2 coats of Woodstock, so hard to get this gorgeous color to show right on camera, but it's so damn pretty!

2 coats of Showboat, definitely brighter than what it looks like here, but super pretty.

I definitely recommend picking this up, it's cheaper now, because they reduced the price and you can get it for $12 and right now Urban Decay has free shipping on orders over $25. But for $12 they come out at $2 EACH! Perfect price for me, considering they are cute minis.

Hope you enjoyed this short post and you will definitely see more of these polishes soon :D

50 followers! Glee,Friends,Copacabana...

First of all, I reached 50 followers and that's really exciting, because when I started this I didn't think anyone would read it to begin with and reaching 50 followers is definitely a milestone and a personal victory. I thank each and everyone of you for taking the time to hit that follow button and reading my random ramblings. I might not be the coolest blogger out there, not giving away freebies and what not, but once I get back to working(which I haven't in like 6 months), I might start having some giveaways here and there.

I'll try to keep on posting my NOTD as often as I do, I try painting my nails daily, so there's always a different nail look for you to check out, I try to have a post daily, but sometimes I just can't make it, but I do try to get at least over 5 posts a week and I will keep it that way, definitely not less posts.

Also I'm posting this, just because it's Friday and I feel like it! First of all I have to admit, I love Glee! And I love musicals, I know they are not for everyone, but I absolutely love them.
Sometimes I'll hear a song on the radio and say: I like Glee's version better, not everything of course, but some.

Last night the episode was about Guilty Pleasures, they sang Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go by Wham, Copacabana by Barry Manilow, Mamma Mia by ABBA, Take A Look At Me Now by Phil Collins, Wannabe by Spice Girls and My Prerogative by Bobby Brown. All classics, all favorites, except the My Prerogative, don't love that one, that much.

Another thing I absolutely love is Friends, I have been a fan of that show for the longest time and have seen each episode at least 3 times. The first time I heard Copacabana was in an episode of Friends, when Rachel sings it at her ex-fiance's wedding. If you haven't seen the video or the episode, I'll add it here:

Definitely not the best version out there, but you get the point. Now where am I getting at with this? A good song, maybe a guilty pleasure, but something that you really like can completely change your mood!

When it comes to the music I like, I can't find a guilty pleasure, I like what I like and I like that I like it! Does that make sense? I love 80's and 90's pop! Love it! And I love musicals and I love Glee, there I said it! Everyone that knows me, knows I love Glee and my bff loves it too, we Lip Sync for our life when we are together, it's all good fun!

Hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy some guilty pleasure music :)

NOTD: March 17th

This is not my kind of color, but I really like it on! I got this polish in my March Julep box. That's 1 coat of Julep Joy, yup ONE coat! This one is amazing, not streaky or clumpy and one coat does it, but you can do 2 if you prefer that, I was shocked that it was opaque with one coat, really surprising! And as usual, Seche Vite as my top coat.

NOTD: March 14th

Julep Leila

Julep Leila

Julep Leila

Julep Leila

Two coats of Julep Leila, under Seche Vite. This polish is from my Julep March box. At first it was a bit streaky, but I really liked the end result. The ring finger has 2 coats of Leila and one coat of OPI's Polka.com, isn't it gorgeous? I kinda want to do all the nails with it, but the bf said this looked cute, so I left it at that ^^

NOTD: St Patrick's Day nails

I'm not a catholic, but I thought I'd do a nail look for this holiday :D Hope you enjoy.

All nails except for my ring finger, are sporting two coats of KB Shimmer's Get Clover it. Accent nail has Julep Cindy and Julep Vivien, from my December Julep Box. And of course as usual, Seche Vite as my top coat.

I was trying to get the green glitter from Cindy to work with the champagne sparkle from Vivien and make it look like golden-ish looking glitter, so I did 1 coat of Cindy, then one coat of Vivien, another coat of Cindy, another one of Vivien and one more coat of Cindy.

All thin coats though, both the KB Shimmer and the Julep polishes took a bit to dry, but I actually really like the end result :D

I know this is not the best and well it can't be, I did it at 2 am in the morning after a really long day, but I still like it :D

Hope you like this as much ad I do :D
